Suggestions with 吧
Sentence + 吧
吧 (ba) at the end of a sentence softens it into a suggestion: 我们走吧 "let's go", 你先吃吧 "go ahead and eat".
With a question mark it marks a guess you're fairly sure about: 你是学生吧？"You're a student, right?"
Examples
我们走吧。
我們走吧。
wǒ men zǒu ba
Let's go.
休息一下吧。
xiū xi yī xià ba
Take a break.
你先吃吧。
nǐ xiān chī ba
Go ahead and eat first.
明天再说吧。
明天再說吧。
míng tiān zài shuō ba
Let's talk about it tomorrow.
