Even more: 更

更 + Adj.

更 (gèng) before an adjective means "even more": 这个好,那个更好 "this one is good, that one is even better". It always compares against something already mentioned or implied.

Don't confuse it with 最: 更好 is "better (than that)", 最好 is "the best (of all)". 更 also slots neatly into 比 sentences for extra punch: 今天比昨天更冷 "today is even colder than yesterday (and yesterday was already cold)".
