After Arriving at the Office

小郭xiǎo guō八点半bā diǎn bàn到了dào le公司gōng sī。Xiao Guo arrives at the office at 8:30.他tā全身quán shēn都是dōu shì汗hàn，也yě有点yǒu diǎn喘chuǎn。He’s covered in sweat and a little out of breath.同事tóng shì小王xiǎo wáng笑着xiào zhe说shuō：“又yòu迟到了chí dào le？”His coworker Xiao Wang laughs and says, “Late again?”

小郭xiǎo guō不好意思地bù hǎo yì si de笑了笑xiào le xiào。Xiao Guo smiles awkwardly.他tā去qù拿ná咖啡kā fēi，一边yī biān喝hē一边yī biān开电脑kāi diàn nǎo。He grabs a coffee and turns on his computer while drinking it.今天jīn tiān老板lǎo bǎn要yào开kāi早会zǎo huì。The boss is having a morning meeting today.大家dà jiā都dōu坐在zuò zài会议室huì yì shì里lǐ。Everyone sits in the meeting room.老板lǎo bǎn说shuō：“这个月zhè ge yuè我们wǒ men要yào努力nǔ lì工作gōng zuò。”The boss says, “We must work hard this month.”小郭xiǎo guō点头diǎn tóu，但dàn心里xīn lǐ想着xiǎng zhe午饭wǔ fàn要yào吃什么chī shén me。Xiao Guo nods, but he’s secretly thinking about what to eat for lunch.
