Chapter 1: The Birth of the Monkey King
海外有座花果山，山顶立着一块闪闪发光的仙石。Overseas there is a Flower-Fruit Mountain, and at its summit stood a gleaming Immortal Stone.一天，仙石“砰”地裂开，蹦出一只石猴！One day, the Immortal Stone burst open with a 'bang', and a stone monkey sprang out!
石猴和山里的猴子们玩得开心。The stone monkey and the mountain's monkeys played happily.突然，有猴子喊：“谁敢跳进瀑布后的山洞，咱们就拜他为王！”Suddenly, a monkey shouted, 'Whoever dares to jump into the cave behind the waterfall, we'll make him our king!'
石猴眼睛一转，“噌”地跳进瀑布！The stone monkey's eyes glinted, and with a 'seng' he leaped into the waterfall!里面竟是个大山洞，有石桌石床，还有条小溪哗哗流。Inside, it was a vast cavern with stone tables and beds, and a little stream gurgled through.
猴子们欢呼：“你是大王！给你起个名字——美猴王孙悟空！”The monkeys cheered, 'You are the Great King! Let's give you a name—Great Sage Sun Wukong!'
