The Princess and the Pea
一个下大雨的晚上，王宫门口突然传来敲门声。On a rainy evening, there was a sudden knock at the palace gate.老国王打开门，看见一个淋得湿透的女孩，她说自己是真正的公主，请求借宿一晚。The old king opened the door and saw a girl soaked to the skin, who claimed to be a real princess and asked to stay for the night.
王后悄悄想了个主意。The queen quietly came up with an idea.她往床板上放了一粒豌豆，然后搬来二十层厚厚的床垫和二十床羽绒被，让女孩睡在上面。She placed a pea on the bedboard, then brought twenty thick mattresses and twenty down quilts, and let the girl sleep on top.
第二天早上，王后问：“昨晚睡得好吗？”The next morning, the queen asked, 'Did you sleep well last night?'
女孩揉着眼睛说：“床好软，可我总觉得有什么硬东西硌着背，整夜都没睡着！您看，我背上还有瘀青呢！”The girl rubbed her eyes and said, 'The bed was very soft, but I kept feeling something hard pressing against my back, and I couldn't sleep all night! Look, there are bruises on my back!'
王后立刻笑了：“只有真正的公主才会这么娇嫩，连被子下的豌豆都能感觉到！”The queen immediately smiled and said, 'Only a real princess would be so delicate that she could feel a pea under the quilts!'
国王高兴地宣布：“你就是我们要找的公主！”The king happily announced, 'You are the princess we are looking for!'后来，王子和这位细心的公主结了婚，那粒豌豆还被收进了博物馆呢！Later, the prince married this attentive princess, and that pea was even kept in a museum!
寓意：真正的特别之处，往往藏在最细微的地方。Moral: True uniqueness often lies in the smallest details.
