Intermediate Chinese: the 298 words the HSK 2.0 syllabus adds at level 3 (600 words in total by the end of level 3). The official syllabus counts 300 entries for this level; after merging entries that repeat a word, 298 distinct new words remain.
HSK 2.0 is the older six-level exam. Many test centres still run it on regular test dates, but the 2026 HSK 3.0 syllabus regroups the words: of these 298, 6 in HSK 1, 35 in HSK 2, 228 in HSK 3, 22 in HSK 4, 1 in HSK 5, 1 in HSK 6, and the rest are not in the 2026 lists.
How to use this deck
- Look at the front and say the answer out loud before you flip.
- Flip, check, and mark Knew it or Didn’t know. Be strict: a slow or half-right answer is a miss.
- At the end of the set, review only the cards you missed until none are left.
- Come back tomorrow and do the set again before starting a new one. Short daily sessions beat long ones.

The HSK 2.0 syllabus lists 300 new entries at level 3, 600 in total by the end of the level. This deck has 298 distinct words.
Is HSK 2.0 still used?
Yes. HSK 2.0 (levels 1–6) is the legacy exam and is still offered on regular test dates. The 2026 HSK 3.0 syllabus (levels 1–6 and 7–9) has larger lists; check which version your test uses.
